Security FAQ

We built tameyeti to solve our own problem. We didn't trust any notes app with the things we wanted to save. We never knew who could read it, or we'd put something into a system and later couldn't get it back out.

With tameyeti, your data stays yours and you can always get to it. We wanted a real dashboard for our own life, not another app holding our notes hostage. Your entries go to AI for analysis, anonymously, and nowhere else. The AI provider doesn't store them, and they're never used to train a model.

The tameyeti mark illustrated as a samurai, lunging forward with a drawn sword.
Where does my data live?

In an encrypted database that's yours alone, synced to your phone. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers. Yeti doesn't like tracking.

Does AI read my entries?

Yes. That's how tameyeti transcribes, tags, and understands what you save. It's sent to AI providers with no user ID attached, and it's never used to train any model.

What happens when I delete my account?

Everything is deleted: your entries, your files, your login. There's no recovery after that, so export your data first if you want to keep a copy.

Can I get my data out?

Yes, any time. Export everything as a JSON file from Account settings.

Who can access my data?

On your phone, your data is protected by your device's own encryption. In tameyeti's cloud database, it's encrypted at rest, independently confirmed. When an entry goes to AI for processing, tameyeti strips your account ID first. Nothing ties it back to you.

Do you have SOC 2 or ISO certification?

The database infrastructure tameyeti runs on is SOC 2 and HIPAA certified. On your phone, your data is protected by the iPhone's own encryption. Entries are stripped of your account ID before they reach AI providers.

Do you offer a Data Processing Agreement?

Not yet, formally. Reach out if you need one.

How do I report a security issue?
